Falling into Depression


To create this image where my model appears to be falling, I used a simple barstool and black sheet to trick the camera. By using the black sheet to mask the barstool, the film reads the area as black, and the model seems to be floating. The next step in creating this gravity defying image is to flip the frme 180-degrees, so that what in reality is up, is now down. This completes the look and gives the image a feeling of suspense, which leads the viewer to believe the model is falling.
